Sarah J McElvar : Short Biography

Sarah McElvar was born around 1835 and was the daughter of Joseph McElvar and Mary McKennan (?).  She left Ireland in 1857 to New York.  But she did not stay there, because we found her in Pointe-Gatineau, province of Quebec, Canada in 1861.  She married there with a french canadian, Alexis Laurent in 1864.  They had 4 children. She died in June of 1913 in north Templeton, province of Quebec, Canada.  She was my great great grandmother.  I do not know which village or town she comes from in Northern Ireland.
