Sarah married first David Small c. 1835 and had 3 boys that I know of. John McNeil born c.1835, David (my gggrandfather) b. 6 May 1837 and Robert 6 Juun 1844. David died between 1844 and 1847. Sarah then remarried James Findlay 10 Mar 1850 in Colmonell,Ayr,Scotland. Together they had William born c 1847 and James born 15 Aug 1850. There is another daughter born Ann Jane c 1845 (from family bible) that I have not found and I assume from the first marriage but she may have taken the Findlay name. Sarah came to Canada in 1855 to Bristol twp, Pontiac County, Quebec and died there 31 Jul 1900 and is buried in Norway Bay Cemetery. The Small boys from the first marriage emmigrated earlier with Sarah's family in 1851 to the same location. They lived with the McNeils until they married and moved to different areas. The McNeil farm where Sarah's lived was on Black's Lane, Ballynahinch, Down County. Her brother Thomas was the only McNeil of that family that stayed back in Ireland as far as I am aware. References to Saintfield and Megheradrool have been mentioned throughout my research however these areas may be more in reference to the Small side of my family.
