Researching my ancestor Terence Teevan.
Fortunately Teevan seems like quite a rare surname, John Grenham's site counts 12 occurences in Griffith's Valuation in County Cavan, and 18 in County Fermanagh: https://www.johngrenham.com/findasurname.php?surname=Teevan
On his son James Teevan's Scottish marriage record it lists Terence's occupation as "Agricultural Labourer", James' death certificate lists his occupation as "Crofter" and his wife's name as Elizabeth Welsh.
He appears on the 1921 Census with his Uncle James Teevan, and three female 1st cousins: Rose, Marg and Catherine: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1821/Cavan/Castleterra/Cartaubber/10/
The barony is hard to read on the census form but, looks like "Upperlaughter". Townlands.ie lists it as "Loughtee Upper" https://www.townlands.ie/cavan/castleterra/
I know of three children:
Mary Teevan, born1830, married Michael Noble 2 April 1856 Urney, Cavan, died 13 Dec 1900 Cavan
John Teevan, born 1834, married Emma Taylor 1868 Kent, England, died 14 Mar 1879 Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland
James Teevan, born 1839, married Eliza Larkin 18 June 1860 Lanarkshire, Scotland, died 7 Sep 1901 Hamilton, Lanarkshire Scotland
