Thomas J. Foley was born June 7, 1840 in Glanworth to Michael Foley and Bridget Collins. He emigrated to the US in/about 1859 and ended up settling in Napa, California, and then in San Francisco where he married Mary Agnes Canty and fathered 14 children but only 8 lived to be adults. He survived the 1906 Earthquake and Fire in San Francisco, and passed away in March 1914.
