Thomas McDermott, warehouseman (in Jul 1860), laborer (in Jun 1880) and warehouseman - Stauffer MacReady & Co (between 1870 and 1886), son of Thomas MacDermott and Anne McHugh, was born about 15 May 1833 in Kiltoghert, County Leitrim, Ireland and died on 22 Jun 1889 in New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, USA. He married Mary Carroll, daughter of Patrick “Patt” Carroll and Bridget O'Hora, on 24 Jan 1856 in Orleans, Louisiana, USA. She was born on 16 Mar 1836 in Ardoughan, County Mayo, Ireland and died on 07 Feb 1894 in New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, USA at the age of 57 years. Children of Thomas McDermott and Mary Carroll: Margaret “Maggie” McDermott (1857–1925) Charles McDermott (1865–1895) Thomas Eugene McDermott (1870–1943) Mary Elizabeth McDermott (1873–1955)
