Came to the USA and settled in Boston, MA, USA and drove a hack for the nuns in Boston. Married Bridget Varley also from the area around Miltown, Ireland. Moved to Brockton, MA and had first child John. Moved to Ohio and then Pennsylvania near a brother who ran a Coal Company Store. Worked for the railroad as a engineer. Moved his family to Nashville, Tennessee with the railroad as a engineer and then became the Yardmaster in Nashville. Second child was born in Ohio, and the last three children in Nashville, Tennessee.
He owned a plumbing company in Nashville and at one time owned 40 pieces of property within the Nashville city limits.
Was buried in Calvary Catholic Cemetery on July 7, 1917 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brought his youngest son to Ireland on a visit. His son kept a diary of the trip and in the diary they visited kin in the following towns: Cork, Limerick, Ennis, Athenry, Balleyglonire, Taum, Ballenclia, Lichery, and Kilconnell.
