Thomas was born about 1791, probably in Cavan though this is not proven. He married Dympna Moynah in 1824 in Lurgan, Cavan and had nine children in 17 years, many of whom left Ireland during the Potato Famine. Little else is known of Thomas, though his son, James b1832 emigrated to Dundee, Scotland.
