Back to List

Thomas Swan was a carpenter, his wife, Sarah (? nee McNish) was a dairywoman.  They were assisted immigrants to Australia in 1839 aboard the ship "Lady Raffles".  Their son, John, born 4 November 1838, was baptised in the Presbyterian Church at Connor on 12 November 1838 (from the parish baptism register).

The family's history is well-documented in Australia, but apart from the baptism register entry for John Swan, there is nothing else available.
