Do you know if your Thomas TOOMEY/TWOMEY had any connection to Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, or to anyone named FITZMORRIS/FITZMAURICE, LUNGEY, or PEARSE? My 3rd-great-grandmother, Margret [maiden name unknown] Fitzmorris, b. ca1797, emigrated to western New York State, USA in 1852, after her husband Edward FITZMORRIS died, likely in Ireland, ca1845-1852. With her were four known children: Edward, Michael, Mary Margaret, and Garrett (my 2nd-great-grandfather, b. abt. 1846). They lived in Cattaraugus and Erie Counties in New York. Margret died in 1891 in Dayton, Cattaraugus Co., NY, and was buried in St. Paul of the Cross Cemetery there, among members of the LUNGEY family. In New York records, the LUNGEYs are associated with TWOMEYs, and I found some TWOMEYs in records in Abbeyfeale. I'm speculating that Margret's unknown maiden name may be LUNGEY or TWOMEY, or some line connected to those families. Many thanks!
