I found a baptismal record for a Thomas Graham that indicates he MAY have been baptised on April 10, 1801 in Magherarny, Clones, Fermanagh. The parents are listed as John and Martha (Margaret) Graham. According to Irish naming traditions, I believe this could be my ancestor. Thomas's first born son was named John and his first born daughter was named Margaret. I am wondering if anyone has any information regarding the Thomas and his family from this record. I found it on familysearch.org, FHL Film Number 897416.

This may seem and may be remote and unrelated. Wondering if there might be a connection between these 2 families
My GRAHAM grandparents, William John Graham, and his wife Maria Jane Lloyd named their first born Thomas. Infant died a week after birth. William's father David, born abt 1821 and his brother John, born abt 1820 were the only family known to have come together, first to Simcoe County, then to Bruce County in Canada West, in 1846/47. Family story was that they came from northern part of County Armagh, Ire.; handwritten place name (phonetic) 'Iniskilwon'. Marriage record of David shows his parents as James and Ann. Many years after the death of William John (and his father and uncle), when the Canada 1861census became available on Ancestry, it showed Ann Graham, born Ire., age 68, enumerated in the household of John Graham. About the same time a tombstone in a cemetery near the Graham farm was found with inscription 'ANN / late wife of /JAMES GRAHAM / DIED / - Sept. 1863 / Aged 70 Years / Native of / FERMANAGH, IRELAND'. It has been suggested by researchers in Ireland that the phonetic spelling may be of Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. There are no burial records remaining for the aforementioned cemetery. Thank you for any help.

I suppose it is possible there may be some relationship between these two families, but I haven't been able to define it yet. Have you done DNA through ancestry?

No, have not done DNA testing.
I am hoping, possibly in vain, that an Ireland Reaching Out volunteer researcher might something pertinent, possibly to both of us

New information has been provided through DNA matches regarding my ancestor Thomas W. Graham. He was born circa 1894 in Tullynagracken, Sligo, Ireland to James Graham (1778-1861) and Margaret Nixon (1783-1859). The family came to Ontario, Canada in 1821 and originally settled in Howard, Chatham-Kent, Ontario. I am curious if there are any remaining Graham relatives still in the Sligo, Ireland area. James was the son of William Graham (1740-1812) of Tullynagracken, Sligo, Ireland. Unfortunately I have not yet identified James' mother's name.
