  • i have a Mary Burke in Castleconnel Limerick where the family of burke/bourke orriginated - extensive history of the Burke family who originally owned a castle at castleconnel

the name is as common as Smith is this area !

this may be of interest as Killaloe and Castleconnel are neighbours across the Shannon river  - (this was a major form of transportation rather than road)

so is always worth a look !

  • Hi Judy, I did not know that Castleconnel was part of Killaloe Parish or something like that, and so close. I did find the marriage and children baptism in Killaloe Clare. Just hoping someone with the same ancestors reads my notice to make a connection. I did have a look at the catholic records for Castleconnel but they start to late for what I am researching. Plus I have very limited information about my ancestors. Thanks for the reply anyway. Cindy
