Stayed in Ireland
William Hutchinson was born Presbyterian in Ireland, in about 1810. He was a Farmer (tenant) in Mettican Glebe. He married in Ireland about 1845. His wife was Isabella Hutchinson. He had a son Knox (born John Knox) Hutchinson in 1847 in Garvagh, Errigal, Ireland. He was likely baptized at the First Presbyterian Church of Garvagh. We have not been able to identify any other children he had. Griffith's Valuation 1859 identifies a William Hutchinson who may be the same as our William, owning 8 acres on plot 11 with a sublet house to Mary Darragh. He also owned a 1/7 share of 5 acres with Randal and John McAneary, Robert, John, and Cochrane Moore, and John Darragh. Rev. Robert Gage is the landlord. William died prior to 1878.
