From an Irish catholic family, lived in Liverpool, Lancshire and married a non-catholic girl - name unkmown. William died fairly young as a result of an accident and his family took in his wife and other children but not Thomas who joined the british army. William's occupation is listed as joiner on Thomas's marriage certificate.
