Born 1833 in Lahard to James Kennedy and Mary Fitzpatrick. Joined Royal Navy in 1854 and transferred to the Coastguard in 1864. Married Norry Grady of Macroom in Aghada in 1859. Retired from CG in Dingle 1884. Died in Dingle 1913.
