I'm trying to find my great-great grandfather William Martin, born in 1819, married in Ontario, Canada in 1844, & died in 1884. I can't find any information prior to his marriage.
His brother Robert Martin's headstone states "Native of Co. Armagh" & says he died in Feb 9, 1903 at age 76 years 9 months. The 1901 census gives Robert's dob as May 11, 1826.
Their religion has always been listed as protestant on the various Canadian censuses & marriage records.
