William, 1837-1906 - eldest son of William & Eliza.
RIC records show him in 1860. A later note reads 'to aust'.
William made recce voyage in 1858, arriving Oz 21 Oct, on the Golconda.
He returned ... (see below).

He returned on the Northumberland in 1862 bringing two sisters, Alicia and Matilda, arriving Oz 12 Nov.
Alicia had married George Murray in Clare in 1858.  GM is presumed to have preceded the party to Oz, as he sponsored them.

Sister Matilda promptly sponsored Henry Townshend Govers, and, as promptly, married him on his arrival.

William Purdon settled in the Bathurst region of NSW, as did most of the family members. He married Jane Millar in OZ.
