Ardscoil Rís is located just outside Limerick city.
The school is on the grounds of what was once called Shelbourne House.
Shelbourne house was built in the 1790's by William Petty-Fitzmaurice, the Second Earl of Shelbourne.
The grounds of Shelbourne house have seen a number of additions over the years, including mills and school buildings.
The original building is now in a state of disrepair.
