Could anyone please possibly help me learn more about my 3x great grandfather Michael Murray, he died 29 Nov 1910 in buncrana he was married to an Eliza from co tyrone but i’ve never been able to come across a marriage record or a birth record for his daughter Mary Murray born around 1874 or any of her siblings i think she may of had 3 from a census i seen quite a while back i can’t find it again as i think the names were spelt wrong and it was a refused census his daughter got married in 1897 in buncrana registered under inishowen but id love to learn more about her siblings or her parents

  • Are you sure about Michael Murray's marriage to an Eliza from Tyrone?  I honestly think Michael married somewhere else to someone else, I could find no trace of such marriage. I also believe Mary was not born in Buncrana, do you know the names of her siblings?  I could not find a census record for Mary and her husband William in Donegal 1901 census but I did find a census entry in Westmeath which is a good contender, see below. It also says this Mary was born in Roscommon, I wonder if that is where Michael is from? If you have any more information, please advise and I will look further.

  • I found this birth for a Mary, daughter of Michael but mother is a Margaret (Fox) 4th Dec.1875
