Hi all,
My PGF's birth certificate was destroyed in the records fire, so I am trying to find my PGM's. I thought I found it but when I looked at their marriage certificate her parents are listed differently so I cant use them to apply for citizenship. Any suggestions on working back from the wedding to find the birth? I requested it through the gov't website but they came up with nothing.
Thanks! Joe Doherty

Joe:
Can you give us the date of the marriage? I searched the civil marriage records and did not find an Agnes McDevitt marriage to a Doherty. I also searched the subscription site Roots Ireland with the same result.
As an aside, no civil birth records were destroyed in the 1922 Public Records Office fire.
