Looking for my ancestors: David Crowley and Catherine Mehegan (married 1829 Bandon)
Baptism of their children:
Jeremiah 1830 Bandon
Johanna 1832 Kilbrittain
No 1st name 1835
James David 1837 (emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1868 - Unassisted Passenger) on "Southern Cross"
David 1840 (married Ellen Ahern in 1865 - emigrated to America) lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Daniel 1843
Cornelius 1847
Dennis 1853
Most of the Sponsors were either Crowley or Mehegan
I though maybe Catherine Mehegans Parents were: Thadoir Mehegan and Johanna Quinlan (not sure).

I've been asked by Jane Halloran Ryan to try to helkp you with your query but would like t clarify exactly what you are looking for as your query went on to show a considerable amount of information that you already have on your ancestors. Could you please let me know who in the family you are looking for. Is it hthe parents of David or Catherine for instance?
I have already had a prelimenary look at Catherine and have found the Baptism of a Catherine Mehigan in the Bandon area in 1809 which would make her 20 years at the time of marriage. I have not as yet found any info on David but have only begun to look.

Can i ask if you have more information on one of the children mentioned - Jeremiah Crowley. My ancestor was Jeremiah Crowley who married Ellen O'Brien in 1851. We know very little about our Jeremiah and i am wondering if we have this man in common?
