Hello, I'm the great-great-granddaughter of Andrew Carroll, who was (according to family lore) baptised in St Canice cathedral in May, 1817. Y I have already serched the baptismal records in Saint Canice without success. It is interesting to add that a baptism for an ANDREW CARROLL exists in July, 1817 in near by Castlecomer, Kilkenny. But, I have no sure way to know if this may be my ancestor's baptism or not .Andrew immgrated to Schuylkill county, Pennsylvania, USA where he mined coal. Carroll was married to Catherine Burke in Pennsylvania. I do not have a precise date of death for Andrew Carroll. I estimate that he died after 1890.I would be very interested in contacting other CARROLL descendants in the area. Many thanks for your reply !!
