  • Hi Jennifer, appears to me there should not be a lot of bother finding some information on him, however this is a genealogy site and as such deal with births; marriages and deaths. We would require a year of birth or approximate year, same for marriage and parents if known. Also you have posted in Cork but have Galway after your name.

I searched Google Books and see the name in Middlesex in 1843 involved in law, so looked for births circa 1800, found no Andrew Henry Lynch but a fair few Andrew, the earliest one I saw in Cork in 1792 mother was a Sisk, but there is no reason to believe to that is him, if we found a marriage certificate we may get a fathers name to narrow it down, and if he had siblings etc. It also helps to know the religion as pre 1864 there are only religious records previous to this except for Protestant marriages from 1845.

I would also suggest you search the British newspaper Archive (subscription) and the British Library, again there is a charge for searching. You could also ask the local library.

It is not uncommon not to see the full Christain name transcriped so it is always worth looking at the original register to clariry.

Revert if you have an approximate year etc

    Regards
