I am looking for my great-grandmother Annie Menton. Her parents were John and Anne Can(n)on and siblings were Patrick, Kate and Michael. Have found reference to Patrick's baptism in 1849 in King's Co. and John listed at Banagher so I'd like a check on Reynagh Parish to see if this shows the baptism(s).
Thanks. Regards, Fran Reddy

Fran:
Assuming your family was Catholic, the Mormon Church has microfilmed the RC church records for Reynagh. You can order the film online and view the film at a local Mormon Family History Center. Hopefully, there is one near you where you live in Canada. I also looked at the 1853 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Reynagh parish. No Mentons but there was a John Mintin in Conspark townland.

Thanks Roger. Were there any other parishes in the region around Banagher that I should check? Thanks.

After reading this page on Banagher, I think Reynagh would be the only parish to look at initially. Banagher town is right on the River Shannon facing Co. Galway.
