My husbands grandmother was born Annie Murphy in KIldare I believe she had a sister Mary ( Minnie) Annie gave her date of birth as 1881 but on her marriage to Joseph Patrick Farrlell in 1907 in Rathdown her age is down as 20 From the marriage record her father's name was Danile.
Any ideas /suggestions as to where to begin please would be gratefully received

The names are common so difficult to search withour a lot of patience, I assume the fatehr is Daniel and on Roots Ireland in two paraishes in Carlow adjoining Kildare I see an Ann and a Mary born to a Daniel and mother Anne Whelan, Mary is 1881 but Anne is 1876 so older than you give.
There are two different parishes but the same parents, you can see Tullow and Rathvilly here on the registers website and search it by date, Anne is 16 Jan 1876, the civil registration is this case is
Baltinglass, this is in Wicklow, but registration districts cross county boundairies, I did not look for Marys civil registration but her baptism is on 7th June 1881 in Tullow.
