My great great grandfather, Thomas Healy (spelled Hely) lived in Charlestown in Mountbellow, County Galway. His son, Michael, moved to Currabaun. My grandfather, Thomas, who was Michael’s son shows as being born in Shanballymore. I have been attempting to determine if there was any relationship to another family of Healys (Peter, James, Sarah, etc) living in Shanballymore at that time. Any help to understand any relationship would be greatly appreciated.

Bob,
To assist other volunteers, are you referring to Thomas Healy who was born in 1871 in Shanballymore, Clonbrock to Michael Healy and Catherine Tanniane/ Tanyane? At that time, a Peter Healy and Sarah Murray had children in Shanballymore.

Bob,
If I have identified the right families, Peter and Sarah were married in 1872. Peter was living in Shanballymore at the time. He was 26 and his father's name was Peter.

Thank you. Yes, this is the Thomas that I was referring to. My question is since Thomas was born in Shanballymore was he related to Peter Healy. And if so, what is the relationship.
