Boulaghsallagh is shown on a marriage record as my ggg fathers address. I'm assuming Kerry, but can't find any record of it.
Can anyone shed any light ?
Thanks for your help ......

Hi Blitzen,
Could spelling be Boulysallagh, (Townland): Co Cork W.R.: Parish, Kilmoe: Barony, West Carbery (W.D.): Poor Law Union, Skull (1857) as listed in 'General Alphabetical Index To The Townlands and Towns, Parishes and Baronies of Ireland'. Ordinance Survey Map Sheet 147
This book is compiled from the 1851 Census of Ireland and many names since have been spelt differently. Originally Published in Dublin 1861.
Yours may be a later spelling.
Then if you go to 'A Topical Dictionary of Ireland Vol ll by Samuel Lewis, page 180, there is coverage of the Parish of Kilmoe.
Hope this is of some assistance to you.
Kind Regards
Jenny

Hi Jenny,
I managed to speak to someone in their 80's from Killarney today, who said Boulaghsallagh was " Out the road towards Castle " . Maybe it's just the name of the lane rather than a parish ?
Thanks for your input though - the Topical Dictionary hasn't come up in any of my searches and will be useful.
Thanks again for taking the time.
