Hi,
Just trying to connect with Askin-Booker families who lived - and married between the two families -1700s-1900s.
Booker families would have lived in Crossakiel, Loughcrew, Bensfort Hse, Athboy and Rockbrook, Clonleason W'Meath.
Bookers (Crossakiel) owned the post office and lived beside the RIC office.
Some of the Atkins livied in Clonaboy farm and one of them married a Parr, who owned Clonaboy Hse.
Any info gladly received
John

Hello,
It's not clear whether you are trying to find current members of this family--something IrelandXO doesn't engage in--or to find individuals who are also researching the same lines. Perhaps you would clarify?
Also, would you be able to provide specifics? First names, approx dates, spouses, children, etc.
Thank you!

Hi Patricia,
It's purely for people doing research into the Booker & Askin families in the Meath/W'Meath area.
There were so many different Booker families, that I hoped the name would be enough.
On the Booker - Askin connection.
Worship Booker (1787-1829) M Jane Askin (1780-?) in the early 1800's.
The Booker family would have owned Bensfort Hse for many years.
Emma Booker (1832-1852) M Walter Askin in 1851. Walter's mother was Hannah Booker. Lot's of connections between the families.
The Booker connection for me is the Crossakiel side and we have a problem with Francis (Fannie) Booker. We know she married Thomas Hodgins Crossakiel 1845 and went to the USA, but unable to verifiy if she might have belonged to another branch of the family.
So to untangle the families, I would really need someone who has done some research.

Just in case you are not aware of this, there are 42 public member trees on Ancestry that include Walter and Emma. You might want to contact some of these individuals if you have not done so. Good luck.

I wish I could, but I'm not signed on to Ancestry.
I can use the public library, but I can't communicate with the owners of the tree.
Such is life!

It might be worth a brief membership in order to find what you want?
