Since the 25th of July, has anyone received a daily notification e-mail that a comment has been posted to a message that you worked on previously.
We are working with our contractors on this potential problem.
Thanks!

It took ten weeks for our software company to find and fix the problem and release the backlogged comments.

McCoy:
I received over 300 comments. I'm still working thru them and like you said some were duplicates.
After the web site conversion in early August, the system was only generating notifications if the message (or a recent comment) was later than the date the conversion started (around August1). If a comment came in for a message dated July 25 2022 or earlier back to 2012, the system would not send out a notification.
We kept telling the software team that there was a problem and provided examples but they said the system was working correctly. Eventually they found the problem and made the correction and then generated all the notifications that never went out for ten weeks.
We now have a new problem which is not serious but clogs the message board. If a user posts a new message in a particular parish, the system generates a second message for the parish. For example if I post a message in Athenry parish in Galway, you get a second message posted for Co. Galway. When you respond to one of the messages, the response is also posted in the other message. From what I can determine, every message back to 2012 that was posted in a parish, now has a second message at the parish level.

I realize my note was somewhat confusing but you probably figured it out. If a message is posted in a parish the system is also generating a second message at the county level.
