I am searching for information about Peter Welsh who was born about 1839, and emigrated from County Mayo to Wilmingon, Delaware in 1854.
He was married to Bridget Regan on 08/26/1860 in Roscommon.
DNA results show our Irish connection is in the Province of Connaught region.
Peter's parents names are Augustine and Margaret Brennan Welsh.
I would appreciate any help you can offer.
Thank you,

Nancy:
I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find a Peter Welsh/Walsh baptismal record around 1839 with the parents names provided. Likely he was baptized in a parish which no longer has records back to 1839.
You mentioned that Peter married Bridget Regan in 1860 in Roscommon. I did not locate a Peter Walsh marriage to a Regan around 1860.
I also did not find a record for an Augustine Welsh/Walsh in the 1855 Griffiths Valuation.
You may want to consider DNA testing.

Hi Roger,
Thank you for doing a search. I appreciate your time and you volunteering to help others. We did do DNA testing, and as I mentioned in my message the results said our ancestors are from the Connaught region. I will keep trying to find my relatives.
Thanks again,
Nancy Kemper
