Hi, I am Judith Percy nee Sheehan, My grand father James Sheehan came to Australia in 1880 from Brooklodge, Glanmire. His father was Maurice Sheehan (a carpentar) and his mother Anne Healy. I believe they had a big family, of which the only person I have contact with is Terry Sheehan from Sallybrook, Glanmire. Terry is in his 80's now but has never given much information. His sisters were Roselyn (a nurse) and Kathlene married an Australian (Gerry Meehan) .
I believe my grandfather came to Australia with 2 brothers Michael & John ??? and did have another brother Murtagh ??? I believe there were also many girls in the family. in 1901 in the census a sister Agnes wrote whilst living at Brooklodge.
I also know the family were in Carrignavar where the last son was born.
My grandfather ended up in Brisbane first living at Red Hill and then finally settling in Enoggera both northern suburbs of Brisbane.
I wish I could find some information on my family, I am sure there would be many relatives in the areas.
I was in Ireland in Cork for my mothers family reunion Daly and tried to find out information from Terry Sheehan then but I think he was off with the fairies.
Please help me, I would give anything to know. As I found the Daly's doing this kind of blog. It would be a miracle if I could find the Sheehan family.
Thank you if you can supply me with some news.

Hi Judith
When I went onto the churchrecords website -
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/search.jsp?name2fm…
there is a John Sheehan & Mary Healy - daughter born in 1841 so when I went in and changed James to John it showed others but no marriage
So if you haven't been into this website : http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ try it and see what comes up
Hope it helps
