Hello,
I have recently learned that my GG Grandfather, Bartholomew Connors, was born in Dunbroady 1806. He registered for military service when he turned 18. In his records he states that he was born in Dunbroady.
He married Margaret Doyle at some point while in the military. He was honorably discharged in 1848 having already immigrated to Canada in 1847. He had been stationed in Canada for 13 years.
I am wondering if anyone might have Connors roots or Doyle/Connors roots. I was told his parish would be Carrick on Bannow but I cannot find a parish by that name.

The RC parish you mention would be Bannow or Carrick on Bannow https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0579 that parish is in southern Co. Wexford but records do not begin until 1832 The town of Dunbrody is actually further west in Co. Wexford. The RC parish would be Templetown.
I did search on the subscription site Roots Ireland but did not locate a Bartholmew Connors baptismal record around 1806.
Have you considered DNA testing as a way to find distant relatives?
