Sally Coghlan married John Carroll in Eglish, June 1, 1829.
They had 2 children, James Peter Carroll (who changed his name to Michael later) and John Carroll. Their father John #2310 served in the British Army and dies in India during the Sutlej campaign.
Both boys were admitted to the Royal Hibernian Military School on Fe.15,1849. their mother Sally is listed as deceased. Our relative James Peter was in the Charge of the Light Brigade and survived.
Looking for marriage/birth/ baptismal records for sally and John.
What caused Sall's death?

Civil registration did not begin in Ireland until 1864, so for birth/baptism/marriage/death records before this date you need to look at Church records.
Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Eglish parish, follow this link:

www.familysearch.org also have some church records available online
www.rootsireland.ie has a huge collection of Church records, however yo uhave to pay to use this site.
I did a quick search and found that records of some soldiers? children that attended the Royal Hibernian Military School, later known as The Duke of York?s School can be found in the UK National Archives class WO 143. Perhaps, if you can find record of James and John in these records ,it may give you information about who enrolled them. Follow this link:
