Birthplace

I'd like to find out where in Co Clare my great grandfather came from.

His name was Austin Tierney. I haven't determined exactly when he arrived in Australia, but it could have been 1865 or 1869. He was married in Victoria, Australia in 1878.  His marriage registration, death registration and those of his children's birth registrations that I have, all list him as being born in Co Clare, but not where in Co Clare. His father was  Michael Tierney and his mother was Bridget Ryan. His mother Bridget came to Australia about 1870 aged about 53. His sister Mary also came to Australia about 1861 at the age of about 14. 

Bridget's 1885 death registration lists her children as Patrick, Austin,  Mary, Bridget and Michael. Patrick, Bridget and Michael are listed as deceased, so died before 1885. I have found no record of them in Australia so they possibly died/ stayed in Ireland. I haven't found any Australian records for Austin's father Michael either, so perhaps he died in Ireland before Bridget left about 1870. Austin would have been born about 1846-1848 according to ages given on his marriage and death registrations. Bridget would have been born about 1817.
