Hello,
My Great-great grandparents, William Bradshaw and Bridget Burke, were married in Cappawhite, August 29, 1835. The family history for both of them stops there and I would love to find out about thier families. The marriage witnesses were John Bradshaw and Bridget Dwyer. All 4 of them ended up in northern New York State a few years later. Does anyone have relatives with these names?
Many thanks
Mary

Hi Mary, I looked up the marriage on www.registersnli.ie, found the marriage with the address Ayle.
Looked up Ayle, on Griffiths Valuation, www.askaboutireland.ie found Tipperary south riding Barony Clanwilliam
Parish Toem, found Widow Ellen Bradshaw in two lots, owning a lot of land.
Let me know how you get on.

Hello Christina,
Thank you very much for this informationa and in general for all your volutnteer time! I would really like to find birth certificates for William and Bridget - especailly Bridget because our family records seem to have the birth year wrong. Would you suggest I start with looking in Parih Toem? Is there a good site to look at? Both of the links that you included in your message above were not working... is there some part of the internet address missing do your think?
All the best,
Mary

Hi again Mary, Cappawhite Catholic parish is where I found the Marriage, records very good start early 1800s.
It would not be possible to get certificate as civil registration did not start until 1864.
Re the links not working, that sometimes happens when I type it in as well. I would suggest yoy google the
link to Griffiths yourself, and for the registersnli.ie when you click on it and it comes up not found click
on registers in the middle of it.
Let me know how you get on

Thanks again Christina,
My GGgrandfather's birth was 1809 and the records start a bit later than that, so I wasn't able to get any further on finding his parents or my GGgrandmother's parents... although there were a lot of Bradshaws and Burkes from Ayle and Cappawhite parish!
I'll keep poking around...
