I am looking for information about my grandmother's ancesters. Her maternal granfather's name was Daniel Breen. He was married to Mary Dwyer. They had a son -  Denis Breen, born 12/25/1846 and a daughter - Anna Breen, born 9/3/1851 in Cork, Ireland. They immigrated to the United States before the mid 1870s. Denis remained in New York, Anna married James Danaher, born 1843 Limerick, Ireland, on 8/13/1876 in Manhattan, NY. They moved to the state of Iowa, and then to Nebraska, where my grandmother was born. She was the yougest child.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I searched on two sites: the subscription site Roots Ireland and the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie  and did nto find any records for the marriage of Daniel Breen and Mary Dwyer or baptismal records for children of the couple in Co. Cork.

I did find the baptismal record below in Co. Limerick. I did not find a record for Denis or the marriage record.

Is it possible the family was from Limerick but left from Co. Cork?
