I was unable to find Bridgets birth record on the free site irishgenealogy.ie but you might have information on where she was born or her mother's maiden name that would assist.

I looked for her family in the 1901 census and there was a Michael Mulcahy living in Denmark St - http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Limerick/Limerick_No__…

This Michael was an "engine driver at factory" - Bridgets father in 1894 was listed as engineer - I don't know if they are one and the same person or not.

This Michael married Hanora Foley in 1887 and he was a widower so if he is Bridgets father then clearly her mother was deceased prior to that date - https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_re…

If you think this is the right family you could look for the mothers death on irishgenealogy.ie

You might have some additional clues from family lore or know if Bridget had siblings who's birth record you could look up.

I will take your advice and see if I can track down Bridget Mulcahy nee Hastings's background.
