Looking for any information on Bridget Walsh of Islandeady who married O Mally b. Circa 1820.
Our ancestor is her sister Catherine Walsh of Derrycooraun Islandeady, b. Circa 1818. She is the mother of my gt gt grandmother Annie O Malley b. 1850
We hope if we can trace Bridget and her descendants we might get closer to finding out the Walsh family line.

Hello, I don’t know if this Walsh record applies to your family, but it mentions a Cath. Walsh who had a child in Islandeady RC parish with a Charles O’Malley.
Anne Walsh
Baptism: 16-Oct-1851
Lived in Derrycoran townland in Islandeady RC parish, Mayo
Parents: Charles O Maley, Catherine Walsh

The child was illegitimate.

Is this your Bridget?
RootsIreland gives a transcription of the marriage on 15 Feb 1852 in Islandeady RC parish for John "Maley" and Bridget Walsh. Witnesses: James Walsh, Mary Walsh.

There appears to be a number of O'Malley children (see rootsireland.ie), and it looks like Bridget was alive at the time of the 1901 Irish census.

Hi Patricia,
The first record is our Annie O 'Malley alright. We have all that information.
Plus Catherine is in the 1871 census in Cheshire with Annie and her husband John Ryder aged approx 65, down as a widow but as far as we know she never married.
No more details about Catherine or her family just the birth record in Islandeady.
The Bridget O' Malley record could very well be the sister of Annie's mother Catherine Walsh. She definitely married an O 'Mally as we have an old photograph that she gave Catherine. We believe they had children so there must be descendants? I must check the 1901 census, in Islandeady?
Thanks for your help.
