Hi,

Looking for Patrick O'Neill birthplace.  He was born in 1786 in Cork, Ireland, married Mary Barry, born 1796.  They had six boys, Eugene, 1826, Patrick 1827 or 1829 (my great-grandfather), John 1833, Michael, 1835, Daniel  1939, and Jeremiah 1941.  Tithe applotment places a Patrick O'Neill in Doneraille.  Griffith's Valuation says Patrick O'Neills are in Brigown and St. Nicholas.  They emigrated from Liverpool 28 October, 1851 to New York.   Thanks for your help.

The Griffiths Valuation survey was conducted in Co. Cork between 1850 and 1852. You indicate that the O'Neills left Liverpool in October 1851. If they left Co. Cork in the fall of 1851 to go to Liverpool, it is possible Patrick was identified in the Griffiths survey. If they left Cork before 1850 to go to England then you can eliminate the Patrick O'Neills in Griffiths.

By the way, I looked for the baptismal records for his children at www.irishgenealogy.ie but did not locate them.
