Bryan and Bridget (my 2nd Great Grandparents)  had several known children:  Michael (born circa 1836), Thomas Higgins (born circa 1825), Ann Higgins born circa 1838).  The 1825 Tithe Applotment Books list Bryan living in Elphin, Kilcorkey.  In 1830, he has been located in the Tithe Appotment Book leasing land from the Pakenham-Mahon Estate.  Michael married Anne Devaney in Roscommon.  Thomas married Mary Coll/Cole in Roscommon.  Both of these men had numerous children  One of Thomas' sons, Patrick, immigrated to NJ where he became a Police Chief in Glen Ridge.  He names both his parents and grandparents in his biogaphy.  Anne married Michael Durr and, to the best of my knowledge, died childless.  I am tying to locate additional chldren born to Bryan Higgins and Bridget Mahon/Mahan.  I have a website which all may visit:  MarieHiggins.TribalPages.com.  Hope someone can help.  Thank you.

Looks like from the 1830 Tithes that Bryan Higgins was leasing land in Lugakeeran townland in Kilcorkey civil parish. That same Bryan is shown in the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Kilcorkey civil parish. There was also a Bridget, James and Peter Higgins in the same townland.

As you already know, the RC records for Frenchpark/Kilcorkey RC parish start in 1865. I looked at all the available baptismal reocrds for children of Michael Higgins and Anne Devaney and found and found the following Higgins sponsors at the various baptisms

James, Thomas,  Bridget, Bernard, Winifred, Maria and  Patrick

Some could have been siblings to Michael, others could have been cousins or maybe in laws. The Bernard by the way is likely also Bryan.

I had a second thought about the 1855 Griffiths. Possibly, Bryan Sr. had died pre-1855 and his widow Bridget took over the lease. The Bryan listed could have been his son.
