Bushypark family

I am also stymied regarding my Noones from somewhere in Galway.  Many of the first names you mention are the same although the dates are different.  Wonder if there is  some relation here?  I'm learning that families tended to name their children after father/grandfather or mother/grandmother.  I have Denis Noone b. 1814 married Mary Flanagan b. 1813 both in Galway.  They had first child Bridgett Noone b. 1839 in Galway, then next several children in New Jersey, U.S.: Michael - 1841, John - 1845, Mary Ann - 1847 and others.  They eventually settled in Iowa, U.S.  I have been unable to find Denis or Mary in Galway before 1841.  Denis was also a farmer.  Do you know of a Denis Noone from Bushypark?

I actually had found the Noones in a census in Ashton-Under-Lyne.....there were 2 families.  I believe one had a Denis.  I'll keep looking because I've seen that name before. 

I thought I had that side of the family in good order....until I found the information from Galway.  When I found John and Bridget Mullin Noone, I found children: Honor, Luke, John, Bartholomew, Bridget and Michael.    That only partly compares to the family in the US.....Mom Bridget, son Michael, daughter Julia and daughter Mary.  I also saw that the first two were born in Bushypark, the next 3 in Kentfield, and the last one on Upper Henry Street.  

To add to my confusion....John Mullen and Judith Barrett didn't have a Bridget......

My family came into Boston and moved down to Fall River to work in the mills.  I've gone back there twice and found great info. but it didn't help with the connection to Ireland.

What years do you have for Father John Noone's birth and death?  And do you know what year Mother Bridgett brought her kids to the US?  You say that John died and then at some point Bridgett came to the US - the older kids may have stayed behind in Ireland or England and she may have just taken the younger ones - which may explain why you are only seeing Michael (the youngest in your first list of children).  Daughters Julia and Mary may have been born after Michael and before Father John died.  Just a thought.  Thanks for anything you can find on Denis Noone.    Nancy
