Searching for Offaly relatives of Laurence Byrne and Mary Quinlan who lived at Ballinvaley, Geashill in 1862. Their daughter, Mary (Marie) Alice Byrne, was my gr.grand-mother. With a contingent of others (including one, John Mahon) from Geashill, Mary and her brother Rody Byrne and his wife Mary Cowan departed Tullamore 1862 for Australia. They travelled on the Maryborough. Mary married John Mahon on the voyage. Mary and John's descendants in Australia are well documented but I would like to know whether there are any living relatives in Offaly.
