Search McGinnis, I found the following from 1789:
"Arthur McGinnis, in the parish of Rong...? Captain Crawford's Independent Company of Invalids and Katherine Holland, daughter of Nergh? Holland in Major Le Hunt's independent Company of Invalids were married together on the 11th Day of October on ethousand seven hundred and eighty nine in the chapel Elizabeth Castle Jersey."

Arthur McGinnis is likely from County Down, or possibly Antrim.
I am seeking the family of John Arthur McGinnis 1799–1879, my great great great Grandfather.
Hoping this is a clue!
