Most Catholic records are still held locally so you may have to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. Thank you for your suggestions.  In the time since I posted my query, I've learned that the Carey family was from Mockler's Hill near Cashel and not Modeshil as I had thought.  I do appreciate your time and interest in responding to me.
