Hello from Australia,
I'm hoping for some local knowledge please. I have a Presbyterian ancestor, John Sleith, a farmer, who died in Carnmeen on 13 April 1880. In the Letters of Administration his effects were valued at 91 pounds. Can anyone give me some insight into where he might have been buried and if someone seemingly not wealthy might have had a headstone?
Many thanks for any help or insights you all might offer,
Debra Sleith

Hi Debra,
Your relative - John Sleith - appears to have been from the Civil parish of Clonallan, Newry, Co. Down. He was aged 66 years at time of death and was a married Farmer.
You should contact his former church to ascertain where he was buried.

Hi Debra, - Correction
John Sleith was from the Civil parish of Newry, not Clonallan as shown in previous post.
Griffith's Valuation have a "John Sleefe" in Carnmeen in 1864.- see attached
