I have been searching for information about childbirth practices in rural 19th century Ireland and have come up with very little. I sent a query to the Irish Museum's Country Life branch, but I haven't gotten any response.

Does anyone here know about childbirth practices and customs in nineteenth century rural Ireland, particularly in County Kerry?

Thanks,

Steve O'Connor
