Hi,
I have ancestors from Roscommon by the name of Coffey. In various sources they are listed as of being from Ure during the 19th century. I am posting on here as I am failry certain that they are linked with other Coffeys from Moor (through DNA links). I can't find any other information on Ure though - there is nothing on the internet. Does anybody here know of it and where it actually was. Was it near Moor? Any help and infiormation would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Hi Sean
There was a family of Coffey that lived in Leny, Westmeath at the time of 1901 & 1911 census.
This was the house my x2 Grandparents lived in before they emigrated to New Zealand in 1856.
Maybe a link to research for you.
