Hello all

 

I have a brickwall at my gt gt grandmother

Ellen Sullivan I no she married Joseph Flanagan In Co Cork Queenstown 1888 and says her address is Harbour View on marriage cert with Father John Sullivan a Labourer.

I havent been able to find a birth for her to then track parents siblings etc. In 1901 census says birth Irland and 1911 she living in Offaly and says birth CO Kerry?

On cert sys she born 1869 and only birth is in Cork Mallow? Kilmaclen Ballyclough. Would this be her would she say kerry on 1911 census but born in Cork have the borders moved i looked on map its quite close to border with Kerry? Any help or advice much apprieciated Thank you

    Can you share the1901 and 1911 census records?

    Do you know Ellen's mother's maiden name? There are too many Ellen Sullivans with father John.

    Mallow was strictly in Co. Cork.

    Hello sadly dont no aything else except fathers name John I shall attach docs.

  • I just checked www.irishgenealogy.ie and there were a total of 69 Ellen Sullivans born in either Cork or Kerry.  Likely at least 10 of the 69 would have a father named John.
