I am looking for a Bridget Cummins and my research indicates that she may have come from the Ballinasloe Galway area. She left on the Red Jacket – this ship left Liverpool in September1864 heading to Melbourne Australia with Bridget on board. The passenger records state she was born around 1838 in Ireland and she was travelling alone. These details were also stated on Bridget’s hospital records in Sydney on April 17th 1865 when she gave birth to my Grandfather who she named Samuel Henry Winters. I have carried out DNA testing and the Winters name does not appear to be my paternal line and I have been confirmed as a descendant of the Kelly family.

Hi Catherine
Thank you so much for these birth certificates as it is more than I was hoping to find.
I will look into each person and their family names to find a possible connection to my great grandmother.
Regards Michael
