Hello!
I am desparatly trying to find where my Ancestors lived in Ireland. I have a lot of information once they arrived in Richmond, Virginia USA But can't seem to jump the pond with the exception of their home towns on their gravestones. Any thoughts, hints or advice Greatly Greatly Appreciated!

Greetings Sharon,
Welcome to IrelandXO. I did a look-up on Ancestry, came across a Family Tree there which I think is yours, no other luck there. As the dates are going back as far as the late 1700's you will find it very hard if not impossible to find out anything back that far.
There is 1 cemetery for Curryglass Co Cork - here is the link to it https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery-browse/Ireland/County-Cork/Currygla…;
Our Census only go back to 1901 and 1911 - lots of records got burnt in the 1922 troubles in Dublin.
Also, have you considered a DNA test? You may get matches on your McCarthy/Fitzgerald line.Phyl
