My Great Grandfather, Roger Daly, was born in 1868 in Clonkoscaran, Abbeyside, County Waterford. His parents were Patrick Daly and Catherine Ryan. Patrick was a son of John Daly and Johanna Keily. This much has been confirmed by research. John Daly's parents may have been Patrick and Margaret Daly (unconfirmed, except that these are the names of the witnesses at the wedding of Patrick and Catherine). The Daly family attended church at St. Laurence in Abbeyside.
Roger Daly emigrated to Philadelphia in about 1891, and married Kate McAteer, from Donegal, in Philadelphia.They had a daughter, Catherine, in 1893 who died at six weeks. They then had a son, Charles James Daly (my grandfather for whom I am named) in March 1895. Roger died of fever three months later.
Are there any Dalys, Ryans or Kielys in Abbeyside who recognize, and possibly be a part of, this "family tree"? Would love to hear from you!

I searched in the Irish phone book (www.118.ie/) (People Search Abbeyside) & there are 2 Kielys and 1 Daly in Dungarvan (no Ryans)
If you drop them a line with the details you have posted re your connections you might have some luck
www.rootsireland.ie/ has the marriage record of Patrick Daley & Catherine Ryan but it does not have parents' names!

Roman Catholicrootsireland has Abbeyside RC baptisms but they start in 1828 - a bit late for John? Similarly the National Library of Ireland has the R C registers freely available at registers.nli.ie but the Abbeyside baptisms also start in 1828

My maternal grandfather, Patrick E. DALY (b.1882) was son of John Daly and Catherine Keily. He migrated to Altoona PA, then to NYC.
Married Ellen Daly (b.1884 Longford) in 1910 in NYC.I believe we are related.
